# Circuit Sprint **Circuit Sprint is an offline circuit puzzle game where you rotate tiles to connect batteries to lamps.** Each board starts as a tangled network of wires. Your job is to turn the pieces, find a working route and power every lamp. The idea is simple, but the circuits become more challenging as different mechanics interact. A connection that powers one branch might disconnect another. You’ll need to look ahead, understand how electricity travels through the board and work out which pieces belong together. You can play at your own pace. There are no hard move limits in normal puzzles: extra turns affect your rating, but you can keep working until you solve the circuit. ## How to play Every board contains batteries, lamps and circuit tiles. - **Batteries supply power.** Follow the wires leading away from them. - **Tap a movable tile to rotate it clockwise.** Each tap counts as one turn. - **Match neighbouring connectors.** A wire pointing towards another tile needs a matching connector on that tile. - **Power every lamp to complete the circuit.** Powered lamps have a bright centre; unpowered lamps have a dark centre. - **Look for branches.** One battery can supply several lamps through a connected network. You don’t need to make every wire look tidy. The goal is to power all the lamps, although understanding disconnected branches will help you find the solution. On your first run, six short guided lessons introduce the controls and mechanics. You can skip them and return later from Settings. You can replay the tutorial or read How to play from Settings. ## Game modes ### Campaign Campaign offers **500 levels in each of three difficulties**, giving you 1,500 circuits to solve. Each difficulty has its own progress, so you can try another track without losing your place. The levels introduce mechanics gradually, then combine them into more demanding puzzles. Later circuits ask you to think about several parts of the network at once. ### Endless Endless creates fresh circuits whenever you want another puzzle. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, then solve a new board without following a fixed level sequence. It’s a way to practise, experiment and keep playing after finishing Campaign. ### Daily Daily gives everyone the same **Medium difficulty** circuit for the day. A new challenge arrives at **midnight GMT**. Your completed Daily results stay on your device, allowing you to look back at previous challenges and track your streak. ## Difficulty | Difficulty | Board size | What to expect | |---|---|---| | Easy | 5 × 5 | Smaller boards with room to learn and plan | | Medium | 6 × 6 | Larger networks and more interacting pieces | | Hard | 7 × 7 | Complex circuits that require careful planning, with no hints | Easy still requires thought. Every normal puzzle is generated with a verified minimum of **at least ten clockwise turns** to solve it. Medium and Hard use higher minimums. The short tutorial lessons are exempt. ## Circuit mechanics As you progress, you’ll encounter more than ordinary straight wires and corners: - **Locked wires** stay in place. Build the route around their fixed connections. - **Switches** open or close a connection, changing where power can travel. - **One-way diodes** allow power through only in the correct direction. - **Multiple batteries** provide more than one source of power. - **Insulated crossings** let two wires cross without joining their circuits. - **Paired portals** connect distant parts of the board. - **Linked tiles** turn together, so rotating one also changes its partner. These mechanics appear inside the normal levels. You’ll need to understand how they work together, rather than treating every tile as an ordinary wire. ## Ratings and stars Completing a circuit gives you a **performance rating of one, two or three stars**. - **Three-star rating:** finish within the move target without using a hint in that attempt. - **Two-star rating:** finish within 125% of the move target, using no more than one hint. - **One-star rating:** complete the circuit with more moves or hints. Your rating and your spendable stars are separate. Harder difficulties pay more stars for the same rating: | Rating | Easy reward | Medium / Daily reward | Hard reward | |---|---:|---:|---:| | 1 star | 1 star | 2 stars | 3 stars | | 2 stars | 2 stars | 4 stars | 6 stars | | 3 stars | 3 stars | 6 stars | 9 stars | You can replay a circuit to improve your result. An improved rating pays the difference between your previous reward and the new reward. Repeating the same result doesn’t award those stars again. The completion screen shows your rating, the additional stars you earned and your current balance. ## Hints, undo and restarting If you get stuck, a hint can turn a useful tile towards the solution. | Difficulty | Hint allowance per circuit | Price | |---|---:|---:| | Easy | 2 hints | 5 stars each | | Medium / Daily | 1 hint | 10 stars | | Hard | No hints | Unavailable | Tutorial guidance is free and unlimited. The Hint button shows its price and your remaining uses. A confirmation explains the cost and rating effect before you spend stars; you can turn that confirmation off in Settings. Stars are deducted only when the hint successfully changes the board. **Undoing, restarting or reopening the game does not refund a hint or restore its allowance.** Undo lets you reverse a turn when you want to try another route. Restart returns the current circuit to its starting arrangement so you can attempt a cleaner solution. ## Rewards and customisation Spend the stars you earn in the Rewards shop to personalise the game. Unlockable rewards include: - Colour themes - Wire styles - Tile designs - Player titles - Victory effects Default options are free. Once you own a reward, you can equip it again without paying another time. Rewards are cosmetic: they change how the game looks or celebrates your wins. They don’t solve circuits for you. ## Accessibility and settings A setup screen on first launch lets you choose options that make the game more comfortable. You can change them later in Settings. Available options include **larger text, high contrast, reduced motion and optional ON/OFF labels on lamps**. Screen-reader labels describe tile positions, connectors and power states. The grid scales to the screen’s available space, with taller tiles and usable touch targets. Smaller screens can scroll when needed. Settings also contains sound and vibration controls, open-connector markers, How to play, Replay tutorial and file backups. ## Offline play and saving Circuit Sprint’s current offline version works **without an account or internet connection**. It has no ads or analytics. Progress saves automatically on your device, including Campaign progress, results, stars, unlocked rewards and preferences. When you reopen the game, you can continue an unfinished circuit or move on from a completed one. You can export a backup from Settings to keep a separate copy or transfer your progress. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the local save, so export a backup first if you want to keep it. ## Tips for solving circuits Start at a battery and trace its connections outward. Check that each neighbouring wire points back towards the tile supplying it. Fixed pieces and lamps are useful clues because they limit the possible routes. If a lamp is still dark, follow its branch backwards until you find the broken connection. On larger boards, solve one branch at a time while watching how your changes affect the rest of the circuit. Pay particular attention to switches, diode directions and linked tiles. Your first goal is to complete the circuit. Once you understand its layout, try again with fewer turns to improve your rating.
